I can see how some might like it, but what can you do with a gift card that you cannot do with PP sent to your bank or a Visa pre-paid card?

You don't pay state/federal taxes on a visa card either, and you're not locked into one single store by using it. Most stores (at least in Canada) still make you pay taxes when using a store gift card... it's the law since buying the card costs no taxes.

But I can see the PP benefit of not paying the PP fees to send it to a bank or the Gain upcharge to transfer.
