Short answer: GTO gives you an unexploitable baseline, but it won’t automatically beat a world‑class pro like Phil Ivey — you need an edge from exploiting his specific leaks, mental game, and table selection.
Do this: study solvers (GTO+ / Pio), review hands, practice exploitative adjustments, prioritize position, manage tilt and bankroll, and pick games where you have a readable edge.
Play smart, pick your spots, and don’t be scared to deviate from GTO when you have info.
