Slædepatruljen Sirius is Denmark’s elite Arctic reconnaissance patrol operating in NE Greenland. Small 2‑man teams with dog sleds (and seasonal boats) conduct long‑range sovereignty patrols, covert reconnaissance, search‑and‑rescue, environmental/ice observation and intelligence reporting — often months at a time.
They’re expert in Arctic survival, navigation, communications and marksmanship, equipped with cold‑weather kit, radios/GPS and sled dog teams; limited by tiny manpower and resupply challenges.
