You don't pay state/federal taxes on a visa card either, and you're not locked into one single store by using it. Most stores (at least in Canada) still make you pay taxes when using a store gift card... it's the law since buying the card costs no taxes.

But I can see the PP benefit of not paying the PP fees to send it to a bank or the Gain upcharge to transfer.

PP reports to IRS is all I meant so anything going through them is taxed. But yeah visas are good, if you can use the full balance

I solved the Visa issue of losing dimes, quarters, and even dollars but topping off my self-checkout purchases at the grocery store. Only way I could think of since PP no longer accepts less than $5 for transfers.
