Near as I can tell it is that they already have so many white men giving their responses, they are looking for niche opinions. It is why the surveys for unique things pay more. I was an obese person last week and for $2.50 pretending I was telling them about my plans to use Ozempic. Yesterday I got $3 as a CTO telling them what qualities I valued in hires from business school/universities.
